AIFLAM organises regular training sessions for Arbitration, NMAS Accredited Mediators, Advanced Mediation and CPD Events on a state by state basis.
AIFLAM, through its relationship with the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia has been delegated the holding and maintaining the List of Arbitrators pursuant to Regulation 67B of the Family Law Regulation 1984. As such, AIFLAM provides training to enable practitioners to become registered Arbitrators pursuant to Reg 67B.
AIFLAM is a Recognised Mediator Accreditation Body, and provides training for accreditation as a National Accredited Mediator.
If you are already Nationally Accredited as a Mediator, you can re-accredit with AIFLAM when required to do so by the National Mediator standards.
Each State or Territory in Australia (excluding the Northern Territory) has a state representative on the Board of AIFLAM.
Local training,CPD events and webinars are held throughout the year.
It is the responsibility of the individual member to determine whether CPD points can be earned for attendance of an event hosted by AIFLAM, as the mandatory continuing professional development (CPD) requirements vary between each State and Territory. Please refer to your relevant State and Territory Law Society in advance of the event for further information.
